 Coach Ken's Bowlympics Newsletter
3/21/09

This week our team welcomed two new bowlers: Diane Kosowicz and Robert Samuels.  Both of these bowlers helped out our Masters Division to avoid a forfeit.  Thanks to them and welcome to the team.

 Results from Week 3

Well, the 3rd week against the blind went great.  We won all, but 2 games.  It was a great way to rebound after week #2.

JUNIORS: Our team took 8 out of 11 points. Good games by Renee Clark 124 & 125 helped to take the first two games.

JV: JV was able to take 28 out of 32 point backed by good games by Ryan Miesemer with a 187 and Rachel Magnuson with a 198. Michael Giudice was very good all day with games of 167, 157 & 185.

VARSITY: Great bowling all around on this team which lost only 2 points.  The standout scores were turned in by Dan DelRossi who was consistently good all day (190, 225, 191), David Lenzi bowled a 194, Thomas Slawski bowled a 237 and Ryan Monteith bowled a 208 and a 223.

CLASSIC: Another good week for the Classic team taking 29 out of 32.  William Reynolds was huge, bowling a 216, 194, and a 213.

MAJORS: The Majors team took 2 games with scores of 213 & 210 from Chris Brand, Eva Bardun bowled a 230, Tim Koebel bowled a 233 and Anthony Neste bowled a 265.

MASTERS: New comers Robert Samuels bowled 211, 200, 200 and Diane Kosowicz bowled a 202 to help the team take 35 out of 37 points.  The star although was Kyle Egan with games of 257, 246, & 201. Great Bowling.

On February 28th we will be home against Patchogue.  Now that we took all of those point and hopefully got ourselves back into contention for first place in many of the divisions we need to keep the momentum up.

March 14th @ Coram @ 3:00pm

March 21st @ Centereach @ 3:00pm

Just a reminder that Steph Clark and I run a clinic on Sunday afternoons at 12:00pm.  Please come down and we will work with you on a variety of techniques to help improve your game.  All are welcome and the best part is that it is free.

Please let me know if you have any questions.   If you cannot make it this week or if you need a ride, please call me.

 Thanks,
